Testing my first mobile blog … Not really ‘Lifecast’ the software (which sounds cooler btw) but should work the same.. Including a picture of me! 
The iPhone ‘Lifecast’ app would be for Blogger.com & I’m using ‘WordPress for iPhone’ which works fine as well… Both ‘Lifecast’ & ‘WordPress for iPhone’ are free apps downloadable frm iTunes.

Today or rather yesterday/today was my first cross country travelling experience. I must say it is tiring!!! 3 countries in 2 (kinda) days.
Left Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 1600 hrs then travelled by coach for 5 hrs to Singapore. Packed my bags and left for a 0120 flight for Perth, Australia which is another 5 hrs. Nuff said. Mau tidur ahhhh…… ZZZzzzzzzz
About 2 weeks back, I had my 007 moment … my ‘James Bond’ experience. 
I had a business trip to one of the facilities which is currently in operations in the Vietnam sea. I was to visit this facility which is north of Vung Tau, Vietnam. Vung Tau is north of Ho Chi Minh city. The only mode of transportation to the facilty is by helicopter.
My ‘James Bond’ moment came when I was going back to Vung Tau by chopper when I was picked up from the helipad. It was drizzling and hence added to the atmosphere. I had to walk up towards the chopper alone, head slightly bent (cos of the strong winds) and carrying the laptop in one hand. Fuuuuhhh, imagine doing that in slow motion! Hahaha! Pretty cool feeling and it seems like the task/job at hand was super critical like safe the world if i do not backup the database and install the software in the computers. Hahaha the feeling was great.
All geared up and ready to go, with the life jackets and ear plugs!
Today is my first day working in Singapore. Had a great time over my first weekend in Singapore and it went something like this…
Friday : St. James
Saturday : Zouk
Sunday : Clarke Quay

This is a late entry (yet again…) about the recent backpacking trip which I did in the IndoChina-ian countries of Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. I went on this great adventure with my cousin, Carol. It was our first backpacking trip together and first backpacking trip ever. We were on a budget (which both of us blew) and visited 3 countries in 2 weeks. There wasn’t much time considering the distance and places we went, but it was a blast!

Dates : 27/08/07 – 10/09/07
Countries : Thailand, Laos, Cambodia.
We were mainly travelling the old-fashion style using trains, busses and feet… we wanted to take things slow, view the sites, absorb the scences and atmosphere as well as not hurt our pockets so much.
We began the journey by train from Kuala Lumpur to Hatyai using the KTM komuter sleeper ‘Ekspress Langkawi EL8′ which costs us MYR52.00 each. The journey north itself was already fun for us!

We took the KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) sleeper train up north from Kuala Lumpur to Hatyai, Thailand. The journey was comfortable and sleeping wasn’t very much a problem. We spent the day in Hatyai walking around and seeing the city before proceeding further up north to our destination… Kanchanaburi, Thailand. (Part 2)
